An interview with Christopher Long, author of Paul T. Frankl and Modern American Design appeared in the Los Angeles Times. The article included a Q&A with the author along with illustrations from the book. Read the online version.
Long’s extensively-illustrated book provides the first full account of the life and work of Viennese-born Paul T. Frankl, who–more than any other designer–shaped the distinctive look of American modernism in the mid-20th century. Setting Frankl in historical context, the volume also offers an unparalleled account of American design of the era.
