No doubt you’ve heard a mention or two about the 2012 Presidential Race: With Super Tuesday in March, we’ve released an e-short preview of Richard Hasen’s upcoming Voting Wars: From Florida 2000 to the Next Election Meltdown, though perhaps you’ve already read some reflections on the role of race in elections from The End of Race? Obama, 2008, and Racial Politics in America by Donald R. Kinder and Allison Dale-Riddle. We’ll also take another look at one of Obama’s favorite philosophers, Reinhold Niebuhr, in Charles Lemert’s Why Niebuhr Matters, and efface his twentieth-century thinking with our current political stage.
